Bar Centrale in Castiglione del Lago is a pleasant surprise. For a tourist bar and gelateria, they serve a surprisingly good classic Negroni. When I visited on 23 July 2026, it cost 90 kronor, and the taste was almost perfect. The bitterness is exactly where it should be, the sweetness works really well, and the balance is spot on. It’s mainly the ice that feels uninspired, while the glass is acceptable without standing out. The taste still makes this a decidedly successful Negroni, with an overall score of 8.2 out of 10.
